Freefall Records joins the South African psy-trance explosion of exciting labels to originate from the trance Mecca of Africa… Cape Town. Their first release is the debut album “Africa Bombastic” by DMMT, who have spent the last year fine-tuning their sound and have performed for every major promoter in South Africa over the last twelve months. DMMT may appear newcomers on the global trance scene, but Dave Mac & Martin Treurnich are both seasoned sonic manipulators. Dave is one of South Africa’s most experienced dj’s. Over the last 8 years in South Africa he has co-hosted Alien Safari events, Prism New Year events and the “SA Total Solar Eclipse” with Etnicanet and Vortex. He also founded the first psy-trance show on local dance radio station, Mutha FM. Martin is a busy session guitarist and sound engineer, not to mention a dj who has dabbled in drum ‘n bass and house before being sucked into the infectious grooves of psy-trance.

They have shared the stage with such trance legends as Infected Mushroom, Cosmosis, Dino Psaras, Joti Sidhu, Sun Project and more. Together as DMMT they offer an album jam-packed with massive tunes that seem to always ignite that “chaos button” on dance-floors. It’s high energy dance music, but it’s not just beats for dj’s. “Africa Bombastic” is a fully layered soundscape of four to the floor psychedelic trance delivered with a dash of sleaze and a firm touch of craziness, all underpinned by a solid groove and genuine musicality.
